Liverpool 1-0 Everton: L4 thoughts from Abroad

Dara Mottahed & Gerard Fitzpatrick

The Everton Game was  marred by a series of feuds and two red cards, Kyrgiakos was sent off for a dangerous two-footed lunge that curtailed the involvement of   Fellaini but having seen the challenge coming, Fellaini  stamped on Kyrgiakos ankle and should   have received equal punishment. Pienaar was given his marching orders in stoppage time for a second bookable offence but the one-game ban he will receive is in no way suitable punishment considering the first of his transgressions was the worst of the day, an over-the-ball challenge on Mascherano that seemed to get worse with every replay.

GF:  Pienaar was a very lucky boy that he did not break Masch’s leg, or worse join Gary Stephens [ Jim Beglin] and Jimmy Case [Geoff Nulty] in finishing somebodys career. Alan  Hansen noted Stephens tackle as “A mile high & an hour late”

DM: Everton are the team you love to ridicule. To observe & witness their petty claims & jibes is full on comedy; from the ridiculous Fellaini to the second Neville to Gollum himself. What an array of easy targets to feed off; it’s almost unfair as it’s way too easy!

GF: Derby Match is champion league  final for Bitters lol;

DM: It wasn’t too too long ago that we were going radio rental when Brave Dave stuck the second away against Manc’s, rendering what is to me the best LFC snap since Istanbul… best keeper in the league, top attitude & genuinely loves the club

GF: Pepe is quick !!  loved when camera paused on purple nose’s face.

DM: Nobody knows for sure what a fit Nando & ever-present Stevie would have done this season… I suspect that we’d be calculating much different scenarios & what-ifs on a weekly basis.

GF: Want Liverpool to play 4-3-3 when Stevie &  El Nino are both available, glen Johnson at right midfield, defence has improved without him.

DM: we are now 6 clean sheets out of our last 7 in the league. The defence, despite injuries & rotten luck is nowhere near as porous. We have the stability back in the last third & we now need to play our passinggame, exploit width & start finding the net in more quantity. The chances are increasing & our conversion rate
shall similarly grow.

GF: 10 years since last away against Arsenal, thanks to Titi Camera, should be great time to play them after Manc’s & chelski result.

DM:  There’s been a tangible shift in body mannerisms, commitment in the tackle & overall confidence of late. This growth curve needs to perpetuate as opposed to being derailed. Wednesday’s match is that cliché turning point match. Win it, & we’re in tidy stead; lose, & we run the risk of that unwelcome so & so ‘lack-of-confidence’ moving in the spare bedroom & outstaying his welcome.

GF:   If Liverpool get 4 points from next two away games [ Arsenal / Man City]   champions league here we come. If we can stop arseshaving [5 goals from six shots against liverpool] My prediction is away win for Liverpool.

DM:  I’m in a more than optimistic mind & Wednesday can’t come quick enough. Walk ON. D
