Jurgen Klopp spoke to reporters ahead of Liverpool’s meeting with Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Reds will be looking to bounce back from disappointment in midweek, where they succumbed to a 2-0 loss away to Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League.
Saturday’s lunch-time fixture against bottom-placed Fulham could prove to be the perfect opportunity to put things right for Klopp’s side.
Fulham have conceded the most goals out of any side in the Premier League, having won just one of their opening 11 games.
However, speaking to reporters at Melwood, Klopp insisted that the Reds must not be complacent and instead treat Slaviša Jokanović’s side with respect.
“I’m not sure how many Fulham games you’ve watched over 90 minutes—not only Match of the Day or a summary of stuff like that—but this is a really strange situation for Fulham,” he said.
“I can really imagine how they feel in the moment—the football is good, a lot of things are really good, they caused City problems in the Carabao Cup.
“It’s been really good football in a lot of moments.
“We have to defend them. They are a skilled team offensively and tuned in doing a lot of things.”
Klopp also delivered an injury update on his squad, ruling Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita and Joe Gomez to all be fit ahead of the weekend.
With the November international break to come after this weekend, three points on Sunday could prove to be vital going into the two week break.
